Public Relations – Account Director / Senior Consultant

We are a fast-growing marketing and PR agency seeking energetic, results-oriented communications professionals to join our Sydney team. This is an exciting opportunity for senior communications practitioners with a minimum of eight years’ experience who are looking to fast track their careers with a specialisation in financial services, corporate and new technology clients.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience at a communications consultancy, preferably having worked with a range of corporate, financial or technology clients. However – we think flexibly – candidates who have worked in-house in external and internal communications, and marketing teams will also be considered, as well as former finance journalists.

You will be a polished professional with strong financial sector insights and impeccable written and verbal communications skills.

 

Requirements

This is a fast-paced and varied role ideally suited to a senior communications professional looking to take on new challenges and build their team management and client relationships skills.  

While the role is hands-on in creating and delivering strategic communications programs for clients, you will also be contributing to developing best-practice standards across the agency, as well as helping drive new business growth. Specific requirements include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications with either communications or financial / business / economics focus.
  • Deep experience working in a communications consultancy, in-house communications, press office or fast-paced media environment. 
  • Ability to lead and manage client service teams including providing senior strategic communications counsel and issues management guidance, as well as oversee strategy development. Strong relationship management and client interaction skills are essential.
  • Able to contribute to new business opportunities, either through building existing client relationships or sourcing and pitching.
  • Foster the growth and development of team members.
  • A genuine interest in and understanding of economics / financial markets
